Tracks #4 through #10

Posted: April 16, 2011 in 30 Day Song Challenge

Hi guys, sorry I’ve been so woefully slack at updating this week – the boy visited me in Paris, and I didn’t have access to the internet at the hotel. So, here are tracks 4 through 10 to catch me up before we continue!

Day 04 (10/04/2011) – A song that makes you sad

This is just a terribly sad song all round. Listen to the lyrics, watch the video and you’ll see.

Day 05 (11/04/2011) – A song that reminds you of someone

This song reminds me of a person, a place and an event, but most of all the person. I’ll always remember singing this with him in line at Dreamworld, waiting to ride The Claw. It was a really sunny, fun day, spent with an amazing person that I miss. A lot. He knows who he is – but I doubt he’ll read this.

Day 06 (12/04/2011) – A song that reminds of you of somewhere

Home.

Lyrics here: Dave Dobbyn, Welcome Home

We come from everywhere. Speak Peace and Welcome.

Day 07 (13/04/2011) – A song that reminds you of a certain event

Graduation 🙂 Also, the Capping Shows.

Vivat academia.
Vivant professores.

Day 08 (14/04/2011) – A song that you know all the words to

Best National Anthem ever. Just beautiful 🙂

Day 09 (15/04/2011) – A song that you can dance to

This is a song that I can dance to, and that I have danced to. Great times, great concert. Excuse me while I step away from the computer to throw some shapes for a bit..

Day 10 (16/04/2011) – A song that makes you fall asleep

Any interpretation of this song works, really. Eva Cassidy’s one (that I just stumbled on) is pretty soothing as songs go. Nice, slow song.
